The Nene Valley Railway is based at Wansford, very close to the A1, and close to Peterborough. The railway runs from Wansford to Peterborough where the station is close to the city centre. Every year the railway hold special events such as inn May 2019 Wallace and Grommit visited the railway over a weekend. Later in the year during October Thomas the Tank in October. Both of these special weekends were well attended.
