In May 2019 a trip on the Settle to Carlisle and return was part of a holiday tour arranged by Rail Discoveries to the Lake District. The motive power for the trip was by a DMU from Carlisle and return. Unfortunately the weather was very wet and cold and there was not much to see at Settle, not being a market day. Some of the passengers took a trip to Skipton and return to fill in the day.
