ROUTINE MAINTENANCE OF YOUR VEHICLES
While we’re all staying safe at home, MAYDAY recommends some top tips and advice for looking after your vehicles, and how to make sure you’re up to date with the latest motoring guidelines.
MAKE SURE YOU DO THESE BASIC CHECKS
Batteries and Tyres
Your tyres may start to deflate, even if your vehicle’s not being used. So, it’s worth investing in a pressure gauge and an inflator. Check your pressure and pump them up if needs be. That way, they’ll be safe when you’re back on the road. Find out more here.
The last thing you’ll want when life is back to normal is to get in your car, just for the battery to conk out. Start your car once a week and, if possible, drive it for a couple of minutes to make sure everything’s OK. But, please follow the Government’s advice, and don’t drive more than is essential.
Make the most out of your caravan, motorhome or campervan
Check out the CAMCC website for hints and tips on what to do with your caravan while it’s with you at home, now is the time to tackle all those little jobs you haven’t had time for, and the Club is on hand to help with advice or any queries.
Make sure you’re up to date

Petrol stations are currently still open, but to maintain social distancing, they may have different rules to follow.|
